We were very surprised to be approached by Southland Electric, a large electrical contractor, to install solar power on their own building, because they would usually do a project like this in-house. However, the management realized that they would experience no cost savings by installing their own solar system. Plus, we provided them with the benefit of roofing expertise. During design, we highly recommended a reroofing of the building, which we facilitated. By combining re-roofing with the solar installation, we provided Southland Electric with great savings by selecting and coordinating with the roofing contractor and the added tax benefit of this project.
